This work is a story of a love affair between a man and a woman in the rich Alsatian countryside, replacing the love-hate drama of the previous work, which takes place in a cold Sicilian village. The popular tenor Charles Castronovo plays the main character Fritz, Salome Zizia, a beautiful soprano from Georgia with a beautiful voice, plays the lover Suzelle, and Teresa Iervolino is a wonderful Beppe, a trouser player.
