Memphis Slim, a blues pianist born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1915, began his career in the 1930s and moved to Chicago in 1939, where he teamed up with Big Bill Broonzy. In the late 40's, he led the house rockers to hit records such as \"Messin' Around\" on the Miracle label.In 1949, he released \"Nobody Loves Me,\" later known as \"Everyday I Have a Blues,\" and in the 1950s he released consistently on labels such as Chess and United. In the 1960s, he toured frequently in Europe, including at the American Folk Festival, and finally settled in Paris in 1962.
