Then, following \"Ragged Glory\" with Crazy Horse, the band blasted out on tour with Sonic Youth and Social Distortion, and entered their second golden age as the godfathers of grunge. The song \"Rockin' In The Free World\" was probably the catalyst for this trend. A song with a strong message criticizing the policies of his father Bush, it reached No. 2 on the mainstream rock charts, a rarity for Young, who was never much of a singles hit.
