At the time, many of Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic's concerts were broadcast on radio stations such as RIAS (Radio Im Im Im Imbiberungsanstaltungen (RIAS), the U.S. military occupation station in West Berlin) and SFB (Society for Free Berlin Broadcasting). This edition is the first attempt to collect all of these remaining Berlin broadcast recordings and create a set using the best surviving sources. High-resolution digital transfers from analog sources in the Deutschlandradio Kultur and the Berlin-Brandenburg Radio archives were used to create 24 SACD hybrids. Most of the recordings are first time releases, and the set is truly a historical legacy.\n\n\n\nFew classical musicians of the 20th century made as many recordings and sold as many records as Karajan. His studio recordings of \"perfect sound,\" created using the latest recording technology and the best performances, have made the Karajan brand unmistakable. For Karajan, it can be said that live performances were a challenge to achieve that \"perfect sound. Karajan was willing to take on risky demands at times, and through highly stressful performances, he was able to make his own sound permeate the orchestra. The value of these live broadcasts is immeasurable, as they provide a vivid glimpse into this process.\n\n\n\nThe first disc is \"Hero\" from 1953, the year of their first postwar collaboration. This was the year of their first postwar collaboration, when Furtwängler was still the chief conductor.One can feel the passionate creaking of Karajan's attempt to create a new \"Hero\" by striking his own expression against an orchestra that oozes Furtwängler's style of music. After the Karajan era, the personnel of the orchestra changed in 1960, and the woodwind section included familiar members such as Koch and Leister, and the Karajan sound became more and more refined. The great pleasure of this set is to be able to compare it with the last recorded \"Hero\" from 1969 (stereo recording!) after 24 discs.\n\n(1\/2)\n\nBerlin Phil Media\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Berliner Philharmoniker Recordings","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50968887361825,"sku":"4260306182916","price":2028.0,"currency_code":"RON","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4260306182916.jpg?v=1742719279","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ro\/products\/4260306182916","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
