He later served as a faculty member at the Institute of Musicology and as Music Director at Goethe University Frankfurt, and is also widely known as a choral conductor. His award-winning works have been performed by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Modern, the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra, and others.
