Creedence Clearwater Revival's third studio album was released on August 7, 1969 on Fantasy Records. It was the second of three albums released that year. Highlights include "Bad Moon Rising," "Lodi," "Suzie Q," and the title track. All Music gave the album 5 stars (out of 5) and stated: CCR's third album, "Green River," represents the full development of their classic sound, which has continued from their previous album, "Bayou Country. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on December 16, 1970, and 20 years later, on December 13, 1990, it was certified Triple Platinum. First colored vinyl. In Japan, the Green Smoke colored vinyl is a Tower Records exclusive.
