Philippe BOALON (Piano)\n\n\n\n*In a simple paper case\n\n\n\nThe Piano Concerto was composed by Beethoven at the age of 13. This recording is based on the piano part that was left behind, and the score was completed and supplemented by Willy Hess of Switzerland. The performance of this work is a perfect example of Beethoven's fresh boyhood sensibility.\n\nThe symphony was originally conceived as a counterpart to the Ninth, but the direction was changed to unify the two works to achieve a higher degree of perfection, so only a sketch of the symphony was left unfinished.
