The first album, \"Steps\" (Nostalgia0801), was recorded with his daughter, Miki Sato, and the second album, \"Steps\" (Sequel to Steps), was recorded with his student, Misako Takano. Misako Takano, who played the bihuela with Toyohiko Sato on the duo album \"Utagokoro\" (Nostalgia2101), studied historical harp with Marie Nishiyama, bihuela and Renaissance lute with Toru Sakurada, and baroque lute with Toyohiko Sato, and also played the harpsichord. She is also active as a soloist and accompanist, in addition to regular performances with her daughter (Rin Takano), a harpsichordist.\n\n\n\nAmong the lute manuscripts preserved in Kremsmunster, Austria, there are two G-major duet suites of unknown authorship. After Toyohiko Sato recorded these with significant modifications, I was reminded of a collection of pieces by Jacques Bitner (real name Jakob Buttner).Due to the similarities in the guitar-like use of the left hand and the unique melody, it has been analyzed that the two duets in the Kremsmunster manuscript are also very likely to be by Bitner.\n\nE.G. Baron was a Polish-born musician who studied philosophy and law in Leipzig, which led him to meet Weiss in Dresden, where he also played theorbo at the court of King Friedrich the Great (Friedrich II) of Prussia. The B-flat major suite included in this recording is from the Harrack Collection, which is still extant in the New York Public Library, and Toyohiko Sato has altered many of the mistakes.\n\nWeiss's work is one of two duet suites included in a collection of manuscript music that survives in the British Museum (now the British Library). In both cases, only one part survives. In the previous work, \"Steps,\" Toyohiko Sato created and recorded a second part for the D minor suite. In this work, a second part was added to the other G minor suite and recorded.\n\nTokyo M-Plus","brand":"Nostalgia","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51874589507873,"sku":"4947182120712","price":20.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4947182120712.jpg?v=1759410148","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-pt\/products\/4947182120712","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
