In this collaborative project with an impressionistic atmosphere, the two artists from different generations share the idea of electronic music as a source of inspiration for new musical structures, and have collaborated on several projects including \"Vrioon\" (2002), \"Insen\" (2005), \"Revep\" (2006), \"Utp_\" (2006), and \"Vrioon\" (2006). (2002), \"Insen\" (2005), \"Revep\" (2006), \"Utp_\" (2009), and \"Summvs\" (2011), the five albums in the series explore meditative sound worlds that fuse electronic and acoustic sounds with expressive richness, breath, and precision in design. (The name of the series is an acronym for the five albums in the series.)\n\n\n\nThe album includes the piece \"Microon,\" which uses a piano tuned to sound up to sixteenth notes (Piano Metamorfoseador Carrillo en Dieciseisavos de Tono), and Brian Eno's compositions with Dieter Mobius of \u003ccluster\u003e, the pinnacle of krautrock, and Hans-Joachim Lowenthal of \u003ccluster\u003e, the most famous krautrock band in the world. The album contains a total of 12 tracks, including two cover versions of \"By This River,\" a 1977 song composed by Brian Eno with Dieter Mobius and Hans-Joachim Roederius of \u003ccluster\u003e, the pinnacle of Krautrock, and Sakamoto's haunting piano arrangements fused with Noto's digital rhythms to create a meditative yet captivating aura of sound. It creates an aura of sound that is at once meditative and captivating.\n\n\n\nTwo new bonus tracks, \"Monomom\" (released digitally only in December 2021) and \"Kizuna,\" are included on the re-release. Both songs are studio-recorded versions of the song of the same name that appeared on the live recording album \"TWO Live at Sydney Opera House\" (2019) from the duo's 2019 Australian tour. Kizuna\" means \"kizuna\" in Japanese and is derived from the title of an animation work by Italian contemporary artist Valerio Berruti, which was released in Japan in January 2011.\n\n\n\nAll five albums in the V.I.R.U.S. series, \"Vrioon,\" \"Insen,\" \"Revep,\" \"Utp_,\" and \"Summvs,\" have been remastered by Calyx Mastering, with additional bonus tracks (*Utp_(reMASTER) is without bonus tracks).
