The previous discs of Symphony No. 1 \"Spring\" and No. 4 were specially selected by Record Geijutsu. The dense sound and intense spirit of Symphony No. 4 are also worth listening to, but I was also impressed by Symphony No. 1. If you take into account the quality of the sound, it probably surpasses the great performances of Furtwängler and Klemperer of yesteryear. The tempo of the main part is faster than anyone has ever played, the rhythms are brisk and bouncy, and the music is truly youthful, not to mention the organic and contented splendor of the first movement's opening.The energy and rawness of spring jumps out at you.
