The Dark Side Of The Moon, one of the most iconic and influential albums of all time, was released in 1973. Released in March 1973, The Dark Side Of The Moon is one of the greatest albums about the tensions and repression of modern society and the madness that lurks within the human mind. The album was the band's first to chart at No. 1 in the U.S. (No. 2 in the U.K., No. 2 in Japan). The single "Money" was also a big hit, reaching No. 13 in the U.S. Guinness World Records for 741 consecutive weeks (15 years) on the U.S. charts, total worldwide sales of over 50 million copies, and a record for the most consecutive weeks on the charts in a single album (741 weeks) in the U.S. It is one of the most important albums in the history of music, and continues to attract new audiences around the world.

The artwork on the jacket, designed by Storm Torgerson of Hypnosis and drawn by graphic designer George Hardy, was mastered by James Guthrie, longtime mastermind of Pink Floyd's sound.
