Kelly Jones, who handles vocals, guitar, and songwriting for the band, has completed his first studio album since his first solo album \"Only the Same Have Been Changed\" in 2007. Since her debut, Kelly has written almost all of her songs with a guitar-driven approach, but this is the first piano and string-driven album of her career, a narrative ballad album filled with strict and clear ambience.Between October and December 2022, after three months of wrestling with haunting melodies from the piano and notating brutally honest lyrics born of emotional self-reflection, Kelly realized he had enough material for an album. It was material that he was convinced needed to be completed in a hurry, to see through the completion of what had remained unformed, yet the raw essence of what he had created. So he descended upon Ocean Sound, a beautiful and spacious Norwegian studio hidden away on a small remote island in the North Sea. The six-day recording session, held in an environment of breathtaking silence and vast wilderness, perfectly captured the deep emotions and introspection that emerged from the late-night piano sessions.
