Balance, released in 1995, was equally successful, debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. album charts and earning the band a triple platinum disc.With the release of the album, the band embarked on a large-scale world tour \"Balance Tour,\" including Japan. The concert in Irvine, California on October 15, the last day of the North American leg of the tour, was recorded and broadcast by PBS-TV in the US. This live album was released using the sound recordings from the broadcast and includes the complete concert including encores and solo performances. The mature performance by this lineup is not to mention the greatness of this album, but it is an extremely valuable record of the last live performance in which Sammy Hagar participated, as he left the band after this tour!
