Katsuaki Komiya is a drummer with a unique background as the former editor-in-chief of Rhythm \u0026amp; Drum Magazine. With a unique style that makes full use of not only drum sets but also ethnic percussion instruments such as the djembe, he is active in a variety of fields ranging from improvisation to jazz, rock, and singing. He has also published numerous books and video works. His most recent book is \"Drum Improvisation. In 2023, the two of them will record a live performance at Nanya, Nagoya.
