Description:

Compared to the young Emile Ghirellis, who showed great technical prowess, the late Emile Ghirellis showed greater maturity as a great pianist, playing with a sense of transparency that evokes modern intelligence and lyricism. This recording includes two of his late sonatas from the complete Beethoven piano sonata recordings, which were continued until just before his death and ended unfinished. Recorded in 1982 and 1985.
