Special recording of \"Scherzo Capriccioso\" (1957 stereo recording) with the Berlin Philharmonic. World's first SACD release! Newly reissued from the original analog master tapes in Japan for this release. New commentary included.\n\n\n\nThe \"New World\" with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra was recorded in stereo in September 1957 for the former EMI, and is a masterful performance that fully utilizes the versatility of expression and orchestral functionality that only Kempe, who excelled in this music, could produce. In this reissue, two pieces from the album of Bohemian works recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 1961 are coupled. In addition, we have added the \"Scherzo Capriccioso\" (recorded in stereo in July 1957) with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as a \"special recording. This time, you can compare the same piece with another orchestra. Except for \"New World,\" these recordings are rare and precious. We hope you will enjoy these recordings as well as the other Kempe recordings that have been reissued in this project. The master was digitized at 192kHz\/24bit from the original analog master tapes in Japan and mastered separately on SACD and CD layers. New commentary is included. This is a permanent preservation disc.\n\n\n\nKempe made numerous recordings with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra on the old EMI label from the 1950s to 1960, and these recordings are still highly acclaimed. During the same period, Kempe also gained popularity in the UK, where he made numerous recordings with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and, until his later years, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.He also made seven orchestral albums with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra between 1958 and 1961 (released as TDSA210 in a 5-CD box set for this project), indicating that the orchestra was highly popular. His EMI recordings with the Berlin Philharmonic ended in January 1960 with Brahms' Symphony No. 3 and the Tragic Overture, but as you know, he also made historic recordings with the Munich Philharmonic and the Staatskapelle Dresden until his last days.\n\n\n\nIn our Definition Series, we have featured many of Kempe's reissues. We have also reissued many of Kempe's recordings with the Berlin Philharmonic, starting with Beethoven's \"Heroes\" and Overtures, Fantasy Symphony, and R. Strauss' Don Quixote released in 2016, to the latest Brahms: Violin Concerto released in 2022, including 5 stereo recordings, 12 other recordings, and 8 recordings on other labels, for a total of 20 recordings The latest is the Brahms: Violin Concerto, which was released in 2022.\n\n(1\/2)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"TOWER RECORDS DEFINITION SERIES","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51476745355553,"sku":"4943674411023","price":92.0,"currency_code":"PLN","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4943674411023.jpg?v=1752311044","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-pl\/products\/4943674411023","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
