He later switched to Hawaiian guitar, and worked with accordionists, fiddle players, and xylophone players in musette groups to create various dance music based on Hawaiian music. This album is a compilation of Gino's recordings from the 1930s, when he mainly played the aqua stick Hawaiian guitar. In Paris, where talented musicians from all over the world gathered at the time, the album is full of elegant and varied sounds, from swingy hula, marches, and foxtrot to waltz-like music with a hint of musette influence.
