The suite \"Youth\" was published in Copenhagen and London in 1908, and was so popular that it was later published in Boston. The compositions balance Debussy-esque atmospheres with elements of Finnish folk music. Other world premiere recordings include \"Funeral Prelude,\" which was performed at Palmgren's funeral, \"Hungarian Dances,\" a study reminiscent of Liszt's superbly crafted works, and \"Mephisto Waltz,\" among many others.
