[The first concerto album by the pianist, Miwako Koyama, who attracted worldwide attention by winning the third prize at the Tchaikovsky Competition in 1982 and the fourth prize at the Chopin Competition in 1985, following Bunin, Lafollet, and Jablonski. Recorded in London in January 1990 with the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Recorded January 10-13, 1990 at Abbey Road Studios, Abbey Road, London.
