Beethoven's Variations, which would normally be accompanied by the piano, are given a rustic appearance by the accordion. The expression of the two musicians varied with each piece: Purcell sang in an unaffected manner, Tchaikovsky and Dvořák in a passionate manner, and Villa-Lobos in a bewitching manner.
