At this art center, director Ole Henrik Moe encouraged collaboration between adventurous composers and improvisational musicians.\n\n\n\nOn the album, Lipdahl plays electric (and soprano sax overdubs), often scratchy, and even edgy noisy avant-garde jazz, while talented jazz musicians Bjørner Andresen (bass) and Espen Rud ( percussion).The trio's experimental approach has renewed the landscape of jazz rock and free improvisation, setting a precedent for future explorations of the genre.\n\n\n\nOpening track \"I Cried A Million Tears Last Night\" is a fascinating introduction to the album's dynamic range, reminiscent of the innovative work of contemporaries such as Miles Davis.
