A Moving Farewell Concert as Chief Conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic.\nAnd it’s the astonishing “German Requiem” on DVD.\nGergiev has finally made his debut on BIS. And it’s a DVD—a new venture for this label. This live recording captures the final concert he conducted on May 25, 2008, as Principal Conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic, a position he held for 13 years. The program features Brahms’s “German Requiem,” a rare choice for him, which makes this release highly anticipated. For this work, in which the chorus plays a vital role, the Swedish Radio Choir—trained by the renowned Erik Eriksson—was invited to perform, and their crystal-clear sound is a major highlight. Klingelborn from Norway and Kwiecien from Poland also deliver fine performances. Although this is a choral-driven sacred work, it allows listeners to fully enjoy the grand and profound musicality unique to Gergiev.\nKing International\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BIS","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53539269574945,"sku":"7318599917504","price":1600.0,"currency_code":"PHP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/7318599917504.jpg?v=1789971044","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ph\/products\/7318599917504","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
