This album began with a show featuring music specially commissioned by world-renowned British composers that premiered at the Oldborough Festival in 2022. In their pursuit of new ways to present music, it was not enough for them to perform these new works in a regular concert compilation, so they placed \"interludes\" composed and arranged by the members between the commissioned works, connecting incidental music like scene changes in a play and inviting the audience to move from one work to the next.
