Sly's first collaboration with Gary Stites, a white pop singer and songwriter for the Viscaynes, and a single by Richard Berry, known for \"Louie Louie,\" released under the name Jasper Woods with the Viscaynes backing him, are among the 19 tracks on this album. Until now, Sly's sound sources from this period have been unfairly evaluated by some reissues claiming to be a collection of his early recordings, as they contain wrong songs, but this album has been remastered from newly discovered tapes under the supervision of Sly Stone himself, and the historical value and content of the album are perfect.
