Now, this album is being reissued as a remastered edition on Ray Charles’s Tangerine Records, the label that originally released it! Though this iconic album was immediately shelved after its release due to contractual issues, it remains a tender and affectionate collection of songs—centered around ballads—that showcase his exceptional artistry. His voice, respected by artists across genres—including Quincy Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Madonna, and Lou Reed—still moves listeners today.

Jimmy Scott was born in Ohio in 1925. He became famous for his unique, high-pitched voice caused by a congenital condition. In 1949, he was selected as a vocalist for Lionel Hampton’s orchestra, and his rendition of “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool” as Little Jimmy Scott became a hit. In 1955, he made his album debut with *Very Truly Yours* on Savoy. After releasing two more albums, he released *Falling in Love Is Wonderful* in 1963 on Ray Charles’s Tangerine label, but due to contractual issues with Savoy, the album was immediately recalled and shelved. Compounded by a lack of management, he disappeared from the public eye throughout the 1960s. He made a comeback in 1970 with *The Source* on Atlantic, but with no promotion during the height of the R&B era, he subsequently vanished from the industry entirely. In the 1980s, he began performing in clubs on a limited basis. Then, in 1991, he performed a song on the globally acclaimed TV series *Twin Peaks*, instantly drawing widespread attention. The following year, in 1992, she made a miraculous comeback with *All The Way*, featuring an all-star lineup. She subsequently released albums consistently, winning a Grammy Award and the NEA Jazz Master Award. She passed away in 2014 at the age of 88.

Tracklisting:

1.They Say It's Wonderful
2.I Wish I Didn't Love You So
3.There Is No Greater Love
4.If I Should Lose You
5.Why Try To Change Me Now
6.I'm Getting Sentimental Over You
7.Someone To Watch Over Me
8.How Deep Is The Ocean
9.I Didn't Know What Time It Was
10.Sunday, Monday Or Always
