Produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Not God is a progression from this collaborative band's roots (whose history can be traced back to the conception of improvisation) and shows tremendous growth. This is in part thanks to their hometown of Chicago, a life raft of musical adventures for many.The energy of Chicago and Finom's dramatic vocal\/musical talents combine to place the two on the periphery of the legacy established by The Roches, Roxy Music, The B52s, Kate Bush, Cate Le Bon, and Wilco. Stewart are in fine harmony, but harmony does not equal utopia; for Finom, harmony is also a battle to hold the line until the volcano erupts.
