After studying at the Leipzig Conservatory with Max Reger and others, he returned to Basel, where he was a professor at the Conservatory. Only a few CDs of Moser's works have been compiled. The works for string orchestra recorded here date from 1927 to 1950, and are all in the neoclassical style. Moser's works, with their gentle yet modern beauty, should be revived more often in the future. Gevork Garabekyan was born in 1982 in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Originally studying violin, he turned to conducting and studied in Lucerne from 2009 to 2011; he has been the conductor of i Tempi since 2013. Marc Racht, born in 1987, is an oboist and has been principal oboist of the Basel Symphony Orchestra since 2013.
