The \"Passion Songs based on the Gospel of Nicodemus\" composed by an unknown monk in Salzburg in the Middle Ages is coupled with arrangements by Lamprecht and Ensle. The virtuoso musicians make splendid use of medieval instruments and play sensuously and poetically.\n\n\n\nThe Duo Ensle-Lamprecht is an ensemble of recorders and percussionists formed in Salzburg in 2008. They recreate the sacred music of the Middle Ages for our time with fantastic performances using early flutes and a variety of percussion instruments. The recorder is played by Anne-Zuse Ensle, a young virtuoso born in Germany in 1988 who won the first prize at the SRP Meck International Recorder Competition in London in 2013 (a prestigious competition known for having produced Dorothee Oberlinger). 2017's release \" Tesserae\" (ADX13712) was nominated for ICMA (International Classical Music Awards) 2017.\n\n(Tokyo M-Plus)\n\n\n\nIncluded in the program\n\nPassions based on the Gospel of Nicodemus, G23\n\n1. pange lingua gloriosi (hymn)(Philip Lamprecht ed.)\n\n2. die nacht wirt schier dez hymmels gast* 3.\n\n3. gein Zedron ging Jhesus* 4.\n\n4. instrumental \"Contemplatio\"\n\n5. to prymzyt*\n\n6. estampie \"Tenebrae\"\n\n7th Geseczet wart Jhesus*\n\n8. christe qui lux es et dies (hymn)\n\n9. die juden teilten sin gewant*\n\n10. instrumental based on \"G23\"\n\n11. instrumental \"Planctus\" 12.\n\n12. jhesus enpfalch sin muter* 13.\n\nInstrumental based on a melisma from \"G23\" 14.\n\n14. estampie super \"Crux fidelis\" (hymn) (ed.
