Giant Electric Pea is a new progressive rock band formed in Warwickshire, UK in '14, led by Robin Peachey (vo/g/key). The band's modern melodic rock style, which combines a wide range of genres from 70s progressive rock to post-rock, electronica, and metal, is still alive and well in this album. From the opening track "Dark Morality," which creates an abstract and sweet sound space with layers of synths and contemplative vocals, to a melancholic guitar solo in the style of Floyd, to a climax with low-pitched guitars and bass, the dramatic song "Dark Morality" is a perfect example of this. The opening track, "Dark Morality," creates a beautiful sound space, followed by a Floyd-esque melodic guitar solo, and then a low-pitched guitar and bass climax.
