All of this is similar to the way Tonn3rr3 conceives and creates their music, a journey, a fusion of instruments and genres: Sono Mondiale, Global Bass, No Border, call it what you will, but TONN3RR3 strongly rejects the idea of cultural appropriation and looks to the dance floor and experimenting and modifying their music to create their own unique music.\n\n\n\nThe album \"Noir Atlantique\" is inspired by the concept developed in Paul Gilroy’s novel The Black Atlantic in which the Atlantic area is foreseen as a transnational space where black cultures developed throughout the slave trade. It brings back many little-known cultural links showing the constant circulation of music, an amalgam of multiple contributions; that it is in no way the resultof an environment closed on itself.
