The new project by Jay Som & Pale Hound is now ready to release its debut album! JAY SOM, whose collaborative project ROUTINE with ANNIE of CHASTITY BELT released on !DEAD OCEANS was also great, is back with another new project! After years of being fans of each other's work, they decided to record a new album together in 2018, and the song "SAND ANGEL" was the first of many songs they recorded together. The song "SAND ANGEL" was recorded together for fun in 2018. The debut album was recorded in January 2020, before the pandemic, with no prior songwriting or planning, and completed in a mere two rounds. The album features 10 tracks, including "STAY IN THE CAR" inspired by THE PIXIES and THE BREEDERS, and "ANYTHING AT ALL" which is a hybrid of the two groups' songwriting sensibilities. JAMES KRIVCHENIA of BIG THIEF also participates on a few songs.
