He studied piano with Jean Doyen and composition with Darius Milhaud at the Paris Conservatory.Widely known for her works for saxophone and other woodwinds, she has also worked extensively with ballet, opera, strings, and piano.\n\nElise Deschamps, mezzo-soprano, is a native of Montreal. She is a member of the Voice Institute at Capital University and the University of Iowa. She has performed operas, oratorios, and concerts, especially the critically acclaimed role of Carmen. Her deep voice and expression, cultivated in opera, bring out the charm of her works. Her parents were close friends of the composer. Alan Huckleberry, piano, has performed as a solo recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber musician throughout the U.S., Europe, and Australia, and has about 15 CDs out.
