Boldoczki's performance is not only technically but expressively masterful, with each piece based on a national melody and full of noble charm. Gabor Boldoczki was born in Szeged, Hungary in 1976.Hailed as \"the heir to Maurice André,\" she made her Salzburg Festival debut in 2004 to rave reviews including \"soft articulation, extreme talent, confident embouchure, brilliant virtuosity... a soloist of the highest quality who can handle any kind of music. At the age of 14, she won the first prize at the International Competition in Zalaegerszeg (Hungary). At the age of 21, she won the highest prize at the Munich International Competition and the Grand Prix at the 3rd Maurice André Competition. In October 2003, he won the Echo Classical Award for Best New Artist, and in 2008 he was named Best Wind Instrumentalist by the Deutsche Fonoakademie.His virtuosity is in perfect contrast to László Fényer's dancing tone and light string work.
