Colin Davis memorial performance of Britten's psychological opera masterpiece "The Turn of the Screw," conducted by the next generation of British opera greats, Ferns! The performance was originally scheduled to be conducted by Colin Davis, former principal conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra, who passed away on April 14, just before the performance, after several months of ill health. This performance was, without a doubt, a memorial service for him. The recording of this performance is a reminder of the unification of the performers' thoughts and feelings. The substitute conductor was Richard Fearns, a mid-career British conductor born in 1964.
