Consequently, he expanded his repertoire through his own original compositions, arrangements, and improvisations, ultimately completing this album. Centered around the approximately 24-minute \"The Gates of Phrygia,\" he arranged various short pieces—from his own compositions to traditional music, and even works by Radiohead and Björk—before and after it. Furthermore, he processed the sound of the piano he played using digital delays and reverbs, as well as delays employing analog tape. In some pieces, he also utilized internal techniques, expanding the piano's tonal palette without using synthesizers.Furthermore, many of the shorter pieces feature the vertical Klavins piano, with its massive soundboard and bass strings extending over four meters (the photo shows the M470 model installed in a Latvian hall, not the M450 used for recording).
