Originally a piano and trumpet piece, she often played it as an encore, and now it is performed in an orchestral accompaniment version by Lee Reynolds. Matilda Lloyd studied at Cambridge University, the Royal Academy of Music, and at the Malmö University of Music under Håkan Hardenberger, one of the finest trumpet players of our time.He won the BBC Young Musician of the Year Brass Final in 2014 and made his debut at the BBC Proms in 2016. The following year, he won first prize at the Eric Aubier International Trumpet Competition in France. She has a wide repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music, and is actively expanding her trumpet repertoire by premiering commissioned works.
