She left behind many romantic works, sometimes incorporating avant-garde harmonies while adhering to the classical style. This album contains three of her seven surviving violin sonatas. Although the exact date of composition is unknown, the D major sonata dates from the 1860s, while the E flat major sonata, reminiscent of Beethoven's sonatas, is assumed to have been written before 1855.
