Spark's \"Overture,\" a well-known piece in Japan, is a bright and peaceful piece that makes the most of the instruments' tones. Carpenter's \"Pantomime\" is a suite of comical sound movements with a touch of nostalgia. Gove's \"Battle Symphony\" is a parody of music depicting battles common in 17th century Baroque music. Consisting of 10 parts, including fanfares and marches, it combines material from 17th century music with modern dissonances. Expressing human emotions and the subconscious, Hussey's two pieces include the delicately atmospheric \"Dreamtide\" and the exciting and power-packed \"Twisted Sky View.\" The Czech Philharmonic Wind Ensemble is conducted by Shay Lorin.*This is a label transition re-release of an album released by Legni Classics in 2015.
