General Public, a British New Wave band formed in 1984 by drummer Stoker of The Midnight Runners \u0026amp; keyboardist Mickey Billingham of the same group, bassist Horace Panter of The Specials, and Mick Jones of The Clash. Their first two albums are being reissued in analog format.The group, described as \"a supergroup of the UK punk and ska scene,\" signed with Virgin Records in the UK and I.R.S. Records in North America, and released their debut album \"ALL THE RAGE\" in 1984. Although he participated in the recording of the first album, Mick Jones left the group during the production process. He was replaced by Kevin White.
