World-renowned countertenor Orlinski also participates! Aleksandr Dembić is one of Poland's most popular pianists and composers, winner of the 2013 \"Transatlantyk Instant Composition Contest\" and the winner of the \"Cinematic Piano\" album of his piano works inspired by film music. Piano\", an album of his own piano works inspired by film music, which reached #1 on the classical charts in Poland. Wukasz Kropaczewski, born in Poland in 1981, is a guitarist who studied with Manuel Balueco and has performed and orchestrated with him all over the world. The album title, \"Adela,\" comes from Rodrigo's music, which is responsible for the emotional structure of this duo program. It is not the name that is important; it is represented as the person or thing that people love and covet. Surely everyone has such a person, so it is our hope that each listener will find something close to his or her heart on this album. It is not often that piano and classical guitar collaborate in music. However, after the first duo I did with Aleksandr Dembich and Wukasz Kropaczewski, I realized that we could create together a fascinating musical universe. Although we follow the same philosophy in the selection of the program, which derives from both piano and guitar repertoire, the spirit that informs most of its music is more generally associated with the guitar tradition. In our arrangements of classical works, we strive to express the sonic qualities, unique expressions, and cultural relevance of both instruments. Domenico Scarlatti's famous \"Sonata in D minor (Toccata),\" Kk. 141, has been reworked to bring out its Spanish roots and is titled \"Domingo,\" combining distinctive flamenco tics with layers of improvisation. The \"Aranjuez Concerto BWV 1056,\" as it is called, is a fusion of two of the world's most famous guitar and orchestral works, Rodrigo's \"Aranjuez Concerto\" and J.S. Bach's \"Harpsichord Concerto in F minor\" BWV 1056. The slow themes of the famous second movements of both concertos are interrelated here, as are the compositional techniques of the film.Three of the album's tracks are further enriched by the angelic voice of now world-renowned countertenor Jakub Orlinski. The voice is treated as an instrument rather than a lyrical subject. Quarantine Song\" was written by Jakub Orlinski during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and \"Pedro\" was inspired by a film by filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar.
