The book was published by Mainichi Shimbun in April 2016 and went into a sixth printing just three months after its release, which is unprecedented. The main character is a classical guitarist, and world-renowned guitarist Shinichi Fukuda advised Hirano from the conception stage. For this CD, Shinichi Fukuda and Keiichiro Hirano have selected guitar pieces that appear in the novel, and the story is further sculpted by Shinichi Fukuda's guitar.
