Japanese music since the Heisei era, so-called JPOP, which we Japanese have long been familiar with as pop music, has been selected from the vast archive from a left field/obscure perspective and presented to diggers around the world. !!!! Jun Sato, FUMIHIRO MURAKAMI, Love, Peace & Trance, Rihiko Yokogawa, Kazuko Hashimoto, Yosui Inoue, Hideki Nonaka, Tomoko Kina, Adi, Xácara, POiSON GiRL FRiEND, Dream Dolphin, Keisuke Sakurai, Hiroki Ishiguro, Dido, Keisuke Kikuchi. This album was selected by Eiji Taniguchi, aka AZ, who writes for the Japanese Rarefic Disc Guide and is the owner/buyer and DJ of the Revelation Time record store in Osaka. Also, Norio Sato, owner/buyer and DJ of rare groove, another Osaka record store, selected this album. Most of the music left over from the early Heisei era, when records were replaced by CDs, has been released only on CD, and many of them are now being released on vinyl for the first time. (including Haruomi Hosono's arrangement of Yosui Inoue's obscure city pop song, "Pi Po Pa"). The liner notes are written by CHEE SHIMIZU, who also wrote Obscure Sound, and the artwork is by Takuya Hagiwara, a graphic designer. Born between the new wave of the 80s and the club music of the 90s, Japanese pop music of a different form that has been lost. After a lapse of about 30 years, this is the most important work of 2021, shedding light with a new sense of values!
