This live recording captures their only gig, performed on December 23, 1977, at Queen’s Hall in Barnstaple, England, by the group that would later become the foundation for HAWKLORDS and HAWKWIND. It is being reissued in ’26 by Atomhenge, a label specializing in reissues of Hawkwind and related artists’ works!\n\nAudio from this performance has been available in fragments since the 1980s, appearing on self-released cassettes and a 12-inch single released by Flicknife Records; a complete version, including two tracks making their debut in the 2023 box set *DAYS OF THE UNDERGROUND*, was subsequently released. This release features the complete versions of all seven tracks included in that box set. While carrying on the style of Hawkwind from that era, the band boldly incorporated synthesizers to create a spacey, New Wave-influenced space rock sound.
