The edition is only labeled as \"original\" this time, but it seems to be based on the Novak version, not the Kohls version used in the previous recording. Compared to the old recording, both movements are much faster except for the scherzo, and the playing time is about 1 minute and 40 seconds shorter in the first movement, and about 3 minutes shorter in the third movement. The first movement, which was more relaxed in the previous recording, seems to have been tightened up this time, and the characteristics of each subject are fully utilized by using a large number of slow and fast movements, and the coda is also bold. In the second movement, the control based on detailed score reading allowed each part to sound clearly without being buried, and the interesting orchestration was clearly presented to emphasize Bruckner's intended sound. In addition, tight accents create lively music. The third movement, with its strong awareness of musical flow, is full and expressive, hardly giving the impression of being fast, and the chorale stands out in this extremely beautiful performance. The orchestra consists of violins on both wings as in the previous No. 8, double basses on the far left behind the cellos, horn section on the right next to the cellos, bass tuba in the back row next to the Wagner tuba replacement, trombone on the right, and trumpets on the far right. The bass brass and timpani are placed in the center, providing a unique sense of stability.
