Rare Japanese duo of ukulele & guitar evolves jazz ukulele in their second album Jazz ukulele player Junichi Moriyama, nominated for the International Album category of the Nahoku Hanohano Awards, the Grammy Awards of Hawaii, started performing with jazz guitarist Shota Hozumi in 2018 as the duo Ukulele & Guitar/Jazz Ukulele & Guitar/Junichi Moriyama and Shota Hozumi. In 2018, Moriyama started performing with jazz guitarist Shota Hozumi as the duo Ukulele & Guitar/Junichi Moriyama & Shota Hozumi. As with their first album, the gentle sound of the ukulele and jazz guitar go well together to create a chilled-out, comfortable jazz sound. The album also features a pleasant blend of space and jazz on tracks 5 and 6, as well as the ukulele's gentle and catchy tone on tracks 1, 2, and 4. The album also includes a track (track 3) by Motohiko Ichino, a Japanese jazz guitarist whom Junichi Moriyama admires.
