Brooklyn Sounds was one of the few salsa bands in the indie scene that was gaining momentum in the boroughs of New York City in the early 1970s. With no support from the mainstream Latin music industry such as Fania, their spark of creativity and rebelliousness, which set them apart from the majors, still shines brightly and has captured the hearts and minds of many music fans and DJs, even if only for a short time. In contrast to the first album, this album is less slow and more full of confident and creative arrangements.
