Recorded live for WBAI-FM radio broadcast on July 15, 1971 at MUSEUM OF MODERN ART in NYC. This is a solo stage performance by COUNTRY JOE MCDONALD of COUNTRY JOE AND THE FISH, one of the most famous psychedelic blues bands in the Cisco scene, and he performed not only COUNTRY JOE & THE FISH classics but also solo with the soul band GROOTNA in May, 1971. The EP "KISS MY ASS" released in May 1971 under his solo name with the soul band GROOTNA, the song "JOE'S BLUES" from his 1971 solo album "HOLD ON, IT'S COMING", and the song "MOTIF IN BLACK" from FISH's 1967 debut "ELECTRIC MUSIC" titled "MOTIF IN BLACK" are also included in the album. The original version of "SECTION 43" from FISH's 1967 debut album "ELECTRIC MUSIC FOR THE MIND AND BODY" is also included.
