In the first collection, we can trace the transition in style from the first string quartet, written at the age of 21, to the string sextet of his later years. The second collection contains five works from the mid-1950s to the mid-1980s, and offers a variety of sounds from different orchestras. The third collection includes a variety of small pieces, many of which are world premiere recordings.
