The album features harpsichord concertos in the polysensory style, which arose in the late 18th century during the transitional period from Baroque to Pre-Classical and then to Classical music. The multi-sensorial style is characterized by musical expression that frankly expresses emotional swings and ups and downs, but in a short period of time, it receded as if absorbed by the Classical School. It greatly influenced Haydn, Beethoven, and others during the Gotha period, and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is considered a representative of this style. The concerto is composed mainly of the harpsichord concerto by Georg Benda, the court music master of Gotha whose compositional skills were admired by Mozart, and Wilhelm Friedemann, the eldest son of the great Bach, with two harpsichord solo pieces by Carl Philipp Emanuel in between.
