On this CD, \"Mas raiz, menos criatura\" is a large work with a playing time of nearly 45 minutes. Inspired by the poem \"El nino yuntero\" by Miguel Hernandez, a Spanish poet who lived during the fascist era, the music depicts \"the feelings of socially oppressed children and peasants\" as described in the poem.
